It's the 18th Darrel Chapman Fun Run
The 'Our Kids' charity has spent the last 12 years fundraising for the Northern Rivers hospitals, and this year is no different! In 2013 the Darrel Chapman Fun Run team are reaching for the stars and trying to raise $17,000 to help 'Our Kids' purchase a Children's Resuscitation Machine for the Lismore Base Hospital.
The Children's Resuscitation Machine is top of the Lismore Base Hospital's Special Care Nursery (SCN)'s wish list.
This amazing piece of equipment meets wide needs with substantial functions and features. This machine provides an intensive care bed for newborns where: surgical operations can be performed safely; long-term management with less stress to the infant; prompt and safe resuscitation can occur; the infants skin temperature can be prevented from falling; and it also has an adjustable height for easy access for nursing staff.
The SCN sees 1/3 of the babies born in the Northern Rivers and this piece of equipment is vital to assist in giving the best care for newborns that need intensive medical attention.
So c'mon and help the 2013 Darrel Chapman Fun Run team shoot for the stars and raise $17,000 for this marvelous piece of equipment. You can do this by running or walking in the raise, donations, or by coming down to Southern Cross University at 9am on Sunday 26th May and being a part of this amazing event and charity.
The Darrel Chapman Fun Run is an event held in the memory of local sporting legend Darrel Chapman.
